Claude watermark remover for supported metadata and hidden artifacts.
DeTrace AI is a free, private Claude metadata remover and AI metadata remover for supported text and image files. It scans for known provenance fields and formatting artifacts, cleans supported data, and gives you a downloadable result.
Claude metadata remover for text
Remove supported invisible Unicode characters and normalize known punctuation artifacts while preserving code blocks, tables and mathematical content.
AI metadata remover for images
Strip supported C2PA, JUMBF, EXIF and XMP metadata from PNG and JPEG files, plus embedded C2PA manifest markup from SVG files.
Process everything locally
Your workspace runs on-device in the browser. Text and images are not sent to a DeTrace AI processing server or used for model training.
What the metadata cleaner removes
C2PA manifests are provenance records that may be embedded in an asset. DeTrace AI targets supported embedded structures without claiming to remove unknown or statistical watermarks.

Claude and AI metadata questions
What does a Claude metadata remover clean?
DeTrace AI scans pasted Claude text for supported invisible Unicode and formatting artifacts. For supported images, it removes known metadata structures such as C2PA or JUMBF provenance data, EXIF and XMP. If no supported mark is present, the source is left unchanged.
Does every Claude response contain hidden metadata?
No. Not every text or image contains removable metadata. DeTrace AI reports what it finds instead of claiming that every Claude output is watermarked.
Can DeTrace AI remove Claude statistical text watermarks?
DeTrace AI removes supported metadata, invisible Unicode and formatting artifacts. It cannot verify or guarantee removal of an undisclosed statistical watermark encoded in word choices, because that is not stored as ordinary file metadata.
Is a Claude watermark the same as Claude metadata?
Not always. File metadata can include C2PA provenance, EXIF, XMP or other stored fields. A statistical text watermark, if present, is a pattern in token choices rather than a removable metadata field. DeTrace AI clearly reports the supported artifacts it finds.
Can metadata cleanup bypass AI detectors?
No guarantee is made. AI detectors can evaluate language patterns or image content independently of file metadata. DeTrace AI removes supported metadata and Unicode artifacts; it does not promise to make AI-assisted work undetectable.
Are files uploaded to a server?
No. Supported text and images are processed locally in your browser. DeTrace AI does not upload workspace content to a processing server.
Does image metadata removal reduce quality?
The default metadata-only cleanup removes supported metadata containers without intentionally changing the encoded pixels. You should still keep the original file and review the downloaded result.
